If you like a little mystery in your life, you've come to the right place. I write mostly mysteries with an occasional side trip into short story territory. The mysteries are traditional, with settings that may seem familiar, especially if you've ever spent time in a small town. The characters are not super heroes, but ordinary human beings willing to risk all when they perceive an injustice. They're loyal, funny, resourseful, sometimes daring, and - almost always - too curious for their own good.

The Jennie Connors Mysteries
The Jennie Connors/Riverview Manor series has been around for a while. These stories take place in a retirement community perched on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River - Old Man River himself. Jennifer Connors is Activities Director of this surprisingly quirky place. I think you’ll enjoy spending time with Jennie, her two sons and the citizens of Riverview. They are a diverse and lively crew, full of surprises - and trouble. To learn more about the six books featuring Jennie and the sassy seniors at Riverview, click on the Jennie Connors link above.
The Peace Morrow Stories
The Peace Morrow books are set in a picture-perfect small town near Philadelphia. The town, Doylestown, is real, but the the stories are totally fictitious. Much of the action takes place in a museum of antique tools and folk art. The stories center around family and examine the ways in which destiny is shaped by secrets. Peace is a young woman searching for her identity - and a history she may be better off not knowing. Click on Peace Morrow to learn about her.
